We founded Holvi in 2011 in Helsinki. As self-employed people wading through oceans of paperwork, we noticed something funny going on – traditional banks were giving us the cold shoulder. Why not help ourselves? We asked. And so, with time and effort (and lots of coffee), we mastered small business finance – and Holvi was born.

Our vision is simple: Eliminate the distractions of financial admin and simplify work life, because running a business is hard enough. Small businesses shouldn’t have to worry about spreadsheets and lost receipts.

Right now, we’re looking for a full-time

Senior Marketing Technology Engineer

As a Senior MarTech Engineer at Holvi, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering and marketing, building and improving the tools and integrations that power our marketing operations. You’ll make sure our marketing teams can work efficiently, measure results accurately, and deliver the right message to the right audience – all through robust and scalable technical solutions.

You’ll work closely with our engineering, marketing, and data teams, helping bridge systems and workflows. Your work will directly shape how Holvi reaches and supports small businesses across Europe.

This is for you if you:

• Have more than three years of experience as a software engineer (we use Python)

• Understand what best-of-breed marketing technology can enable

• Enjoy working on marketing technology platforms, integrations, and automation

• Like to write readable, maintainable code and design reliable, performant solutions

• Can refine requirements in an iterative and collaborative manner with non-technical stakeholders

• Are comfortable owning your work and pushing it forward from idea to production

• Have experience working with HubSpot and HubSpot API integrations

• Know how to communicate clearly and in plain language

• Are fluent in English, both spoken and written

It's a plus if you:

• Are familiar with RabbitMQ, Segment, Looker, or similar data and messaging technologies

• Have experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Have a good understanding of data modelling, event-driven architectures, and API design

• Are curious about how marketing and technology can work together to create measurable business impact

• Have experience working in a large codebase

Logistics

• Full-time permanent position 

• Location: Helsinki capital area or Berlin (hybrid), or remote from Spain or other parts of Finland and Germany

• Working hours: core hours 10:00–15:00 local time; the rest is up to you

• Ideally, you’ll come to the office at least 2 days a week. However, if you’re located outside the capital area, we’re also willing to consider a fully remote position.
